The shadows I see are no longer my friends
The voices are clawing from inside my head
Stuck in my throat as I choke to defend
My senseless ramblings of a means to an end
I can seem to focus or channel my thoughts
Chaos in mind as I’m wandering lost
The purpose is mute if that is the cost
Blinded by rage, I’m confused and distraught

Not sure how much I can take
In the fragile mental state
Outside forces? Just plain fate?
A prelude to psychotic break
Filled with rage I start to pace
Confusing thought, mind starts to race
Anger is becoming hate
A clinical psychotic break

Life is a stage I was cut from the cast
I heard someone say that good memories will last
But I have no future. Can’t remember the past
Alone in this boat and its sure sinking fast
I’m afraid of myself and you should be too
There’s really no telling just what I might do
A crack in the dam and it all crashes through
